On Thursday, 17 March, 2022, the Director of Career Development Center at the University of Zakho Ms. Berivan M. Ahmad along with the coordinator of the center at the Faculty of Sciences Mr. Ahmad L. Mustafa participated in an Internship Program Training in Erbil. The workshop was organized by IREX, the global development and education organization supported by the U.S Embassy in Iraq.

It's worth mentioning that the training lasted for two days and 48 public and private universities from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq participated. In addition to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research representatives, private sector representatives, and a group of Internship Program alumni.

This training program was designed to introduce the Career Development Center’s staff, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research technical team members, and industry partners to several important topics, including best practices for structuring meaningful internship assignments and designing outreach and communication plans with the CDC stockholders. In addition to the best practices in pursuing the activities and doing the evaluation.

Furthermore, the Director of Career Development Center Ms. Berivan M. Ahmad conducted a seminar entitled “Selecting Students and Management Process Best Practices” representing the University of Zakho. The training program was concluded by granting the participants certificates by IREX organization.
